Amos studied Nautical Science at Warsash Maritime Academy. Served as deck officer on a variety of vessels from oil tankers, passenger ships and high speed crafts. On attaining his masters COC, worked for the Ministry of defence as Marine services officer and Tug Master for 8 years. He then joined NPRF Gibraltar an Offshore and Maritime Marpol waste management company in the following functions (Fleet Manager / DPA / Master) 2009-2011. Amos then joined the Gibraltar Maritime Administration. There he gained experience as a flag state surveyor, customer services manager for ship management companies operating vessels under the ISM code (general cargo, oil/chemical tankers, containers etc)and port state control officer. In 2015 Amos co-founded AMC SHIP MANAGERS & MARINE CONSULTANTS LTD as Director and Marine Consultant. His experiences make Amos fully conversant with the conventions and regulations governing the maritime industry as well as wealth of maritime experience covering a wide scope of marine surveying and consultancy work.
Matthew ByrneDIRECTOR & MARINE CONSULTANT
Matthew studied a Master of Engineering degree in Ship Science (Naval Architecture) from the University of Southampton. He joined Lloyd’s Register as a graduate trainee and worked for LR for 11 years as a ship surveyor in London, Cadiz, Lisbon, (Ulsan) South Korea and Gibraltar. He was involved in existing ship and new building surveys. Matthew also brings experience as a flag state surveyor whilst working for the Gibraltar Maritime Administration 2008-2009. In 2014 he was appointed Managing Director of NPRF Gibraltar an Offshore and Maritime Marpol waste management company. In 2015 Matthew co-founded AMC SHIP MANAGERS & MARINE CONSULTANTS LTD as Director and Marine Consultant. He brings a wealth of maritime experience covering a wide scope of marine surveying and consultancy work.
